Petite bio … Clara Egger
Clara Egger is Assistant Professor in Globalisation Studies and Humanitarian Action at the University of Groningen where she serves as the Director of Studies of the EMJMD in International Humanitarian Action (NOHA). Before joining Groningen, she was the Research Lead of the Geneva Centre for Humanitarian Studies. Clara has held teaching and research fellowships at Sciences Po Grenoble, the French Institute for Research on Africa (IFRA), the Friedrich Schiller Universiteit (Jena, Germany) and the University of Québec at Montréal.
Broadly speaking, my research agenda focuses on the governance of international crises, with a particular interest in the comparative analysis of crisis management policies and their political impacts. She currently leads the EXCEPTIUS project that comparatively analyses Covid-19 containment policies in 32 European countries. Clara’s research has been granted the French Red Cross Award for the best research on humanitarian action (2015) and was shortlisted for the ECPR Jean Blondel Prize awarded to the best European thesis on politics (2017).
